Re: The Quickening - Videos
Group E:
General: I was really impressed. Not the videos I was expecting. Actually, I was expecting 6 Code Geass videos. XD
King of Hearts: The mood was spot on and did a really nice job of capturing the emotions of the characters and their inner troubles.
Ringo Days: Gorgeous.
Favorite of the group. The concept was clear/strong and well executed. Minior editing problems that I didn't care for (lip flap, some odd cuts/fades/longscenes), but the overall AMV was well done and well executed.
RAWRAWd: Troll entry? Sorry, didn't care for it at all. The head bobbing just wasn't funny after the first 10 seconds. What's worse is that you actually had a really good video hiding in here!
St. Ryuk: This was the kind of video I was expecting. Felt like you had a good AMV here, BUT the scene selection was all over the place, and the story was out the window after the first of it. Akward audio cut was also very akward.
The Quackening: Ehhhh. While I personally didn't care for it, I thought it was a clever use of the song. Plus, it was nice to see something unique with it. It also was kind of a sad realization of Excel's life being somewhat tragic.
Adorable scene selection. Nice job with the audio though.
I Was The King: I was a little confused as to the context of the story, but still had good editing and a solid mood. Some of the scene selections did me in though. Could have been better in that regard.
CyberVidja: Now this was a source match made in heaven. Good scene selection and a nice job of utilizing the scenery to match the flow of the music. Wasn't sure exactly what I was watching, but the abstract nature of it made me enjoy it. Didn't care for the live action integration though.
Wars Dimension: I was really confused with this video at first. I also feel like you could have sped up the story a bit and gotten to more of the "meat" of the AMV. The difference between the two sources also made a very harsh transition between the two different anime. Overall, it felt like two AMVs. I think you could have gone with the second anime only and done this a lot more justice.

Also, can you please start putting names with these file names? I'd like to know who's editing what?

Re: The Quickening - Videos
I think that group E has the best batch of videos so far. I do wish that somebody had made a Yu-gi-oh AMV with that song though. The combination would have been absolutely perfect.
