They surely used to work, before the MU deal. And it's on other sites, f.e. youtube and amvnews.

Astral Melodic
Despite some of the busyness and sometimes overuse of effects I think in a few parts, I think overall is really pretty solid and has some nice flow and a lot of imagination and heart. A lot of the transitions are really fun.

Heartstrings
Its a pretty solid and well put together romance AMV. The majority of the transitions and timing of it all feels amazing, but there were a few transitions I found to feel a little offbeat compared to the flow of the song and the visuals, creating a rubberbandy effect in my mind.

Jus Talionis
This is an excellent crossover story that focuses on a rather heavy and serious event of loss, pain and anguish. Despite some of the jokes on the livestream about loli raep, this amv is really solid throughout with not a lot of flaws unless we want to get super nitpicky about integration of the crossover or some transition choices.

The Trance Condition
Really fun and great sync all over the place. Lots of fun transitions and really solid technical execution. One of my favorites although it might not be everyone's cup of tea as it does get a little tiresome after a few viewings and the synchronistic novelty loses a little bit of its luster.

Water Drop
The water concept was really fun and enjoyable. Its really solid and has some great flow and sync for the first minute, but then it hits kind of a lull in the middle and isn't as quite as dynamic as it was. Still a really enjoyable and worthwhile watch.

My vote goes to either Trance Condition of Jus Talionis. They're both really solid and stand out really well. Trance Condition I think has better technical execution and flow, while Jus Talionis is more artsy and has a much deeper concept and story. Astral Melodic isn't too far behind, and looks beautiful but its missing a little bit of something to steal it away from the top two in my mind.

Whats everyone else's 2 cents? :bear:

Someone should try to get in touch with him so he can update those links, might help his chances some more.

These are basically my picks for this category. I do not have much of an opinion, and a bit harsh probably at that.

Heartstrings: Too long and boring for me to keep watching, haven't watch it fully yet since it premiered...

ASTRAL MELODIC: I didn't like the overlays (of the instruments) at all and found them more distracting then helping to the atmosphere. I also found myself continually comparing it to "The Stage". Why? Because that one anime, Nodame Cantabile... I completely associate that anime to Cross/fade's AMV, and no matter how many AMV's I watch with that anime now, nothing compares to me D= This is what happens when people make too good of AMVs. Like ukms[z] - Reflections

Jus Talionis: I really love what they did with this AMV/ cross over, but it fits more in drama for me not so much instrumental. Just my personal preference in AMV's and genres of AMVs.

Oh yes, I didn't think about the megaupload closing website, the links have been changed by an available one. Sorry for the trouble.

Haha, yeah I can see that. Sometimes you just see an AMV and end up getting a strong association with either the song or the anime that its hard to not think about it when you see either used again.

The more I think about it, comparing how the videos handle their instrumental music, I can get on board with your assessment of Jus Talionis, while its a good video, I think in terms of handling their source music the other videos do a better job of it and Jus Talionis is a stronger contender in its other categories like Drama.

I really love the 1st minute or so of Water Drop that if we went by 1st minute alone of all the vids in the category it would be pretty close to taking the number 1 spot for me, but the 2nd half of the vid drops off in that atmospheric intensity for me that as a whole ends up dropping it down in my overall rankings.
