Anime Festival Orlando August 3-5, 2007

Postby Kiiro Ankoku » Thu May 31, 2007 12:30 pm

Dude, awesome......animefestival orlando is bringing the voice actors 4 Vegeta, Picclo, Krillin, Kuwabara (yu yu hakusho), Ayame from fruits basket, and they all do a lot of voice acting for Full Metal Alchemist! Also, a guy who writes some scripts and works with the voice actors of many shows, including (ba baa ba bum!)....<b>NARUTO</b> (look at my profile under "intrests") will be there! There'll also be cosplay contests....... :D unfortunately, their rules are very strict  (p.s., forgive the amature HTML if the bold comes out wrong!)

Eh? Who goes to cons for celebs? I remember last year's AFO... I went with some noobs who read the tape on the floor and went "Whats an FMA line?" That line was huge, I hear some people missed some events just to get an autograph. =/ Not my cup o tea.

So yeah, I'll be at AFO this year, anyone else?

I never miss an AFO. My favorite Florida convention. Hopefully, I'll have something really special to enter this year.

I'll be coming back down from Maryland for my third year there. Once again AFO falls extremely close to my Birthday. So it sort of become my Birthday Convention. Well I have to finish up my new amv for the contest.

Oh and I'll be running both panels this year. The regular How to Make AMV Panel and the AMV Critique Panel.

So be sure to check it out.
No matter what, stay calm, stay cool and live life to the fullest.
Plus as Gene would say always go big in life.

Ooo... birthdaycon, thats gotta be a fun way to celebrate.

I hope they don't put the guitar hero competition opposite the amv contest again this year. I chose Guitar Hero last year because at that time, for me, AMV Contests were something to watch, not participate in. ^_^

I always feel bad for the hosts whose panels are up against more popular events. Never been to an AMV panel though, are they generally popular?

What do u mean by last year's AMV contest was something to watch and not to participate in? Some of us in this thread participated last year.

Do you mean that u didn't have a video yourself to enter last year?

Yup, thats what I meant. A year ago I could have cared less, but recently I've become addicted, and this is quite the enjoyable hobby. (even if I don't have the time to spend to become really good at it) Now the AMV contest will probably be the event I'm most looking forward to. Its just so cool to see everyone reacting to your video, good or bad.

Lol, I <3 Birthday Cons. Mine is AWA...

Anyway, Minion has been trying to convince me to go to AFO for quite some time. Is there anything that makes it really special and worth going to?

Keep in mind I don't like big crowds and I only go to AWA for the people(online people I want to meet irl), parties, and AMVs.

I dunno about big crowds but the whole convention is pretty small, I think? I forget.

I'd say its fairly medium sized. Special reason to go to AFO? Why do you need a special reason? I think they do some sort of film festival (not amv related) but I've never been to that particular event, so I wouldn't be able to tell you anything about it. In fact, I've only ever been once and I didn't go to any of the "big events", I just sorta hung out the whole time with people... I probably didn't even need to buy a con badge to do that, lol. *shrug*

Yay for medium sized.

I need a special reason because I kinda don't exactly have money. *cough*
