Anime Detour 2007

Oh yes. It's that time again.

I have been there every year and last year my wife came along as well. She volunteered enough last year she qualified for the Volunteer Banquet/Party they host each year after the convention. To think, she hadn't even seen an Anime before I came around and she likes it almost as I do now. :)

I am already working on getting the footage I want for the AMV contest. I haven't decided if I will do a "WTF" video myself. My first video (both on here and the one I sent into the convention a few years back) was the only "WTF" I have ever done.

This year should again be awesome.

So Mid-Westerners, who else is excited for this?!

I'm excited! :D But, I doubt I'll have an AMV done in time for the AMV and/or the WTF Contest (okay, maybe WTF if I finish it and hope that it doesn't look good :shock: ).

I haven't had a REALLY good "WTF" idea in a while.

Hence why I am focusing on getting my regular one up and running.

BTW, that WTF video is below in my sig. "My first vid". :D

I missed the first in 2004. Went at the last minute in 2005. I completely skipped 2006. And now I hope to go, but only if I have a plan of action. And yeah, finishing my AMV I've been very, very slowly working on would be nice too.

Otherwise, I hope to go this year :|.

Still debating if I'm going or not. At this moment however, all signs point to "probably not".

Nothing is going to stop me from going to Detour this year. I went for the first time last year, entered both AMV and WTF contest. Long story short, i had a blast. As far as the WTF video, the one i entered last year i came up with at the last minute. It took me an hour and for some reason everyone who gets the video, loves the video. I personnally don't understand it myself, but to each their own. Just get the video done for the AMV contest first, you can always throw something together for the WTF.

As far as the AMV contest goes, i have already finished my video for the contest. I started it back in September and got it up on the org new years day.

I hope to see you all there, especially you dtjb.

Went last year, will go again this year. I'm going with a group of friends and most of us are cosplaying. If you happen to see a Kisuke Urahara hanging out with the cast of Rurouni Kenshin and a guy randomly dressed in a dragon-pattern robe, that's me. (of course, I think I may have just described a good portion of the convention...)

Of course I'll be there--along with about 30 members of the MSU anime club. Four of us are reprising our roles as Bleach cosplayers this year(although we convinced others to go as characters). I'm going as Urahara as well, both sandal hat (again) and 12th captain versions.
Last year was my first year at Detour and also the first year at a convention. I had a blast! I really wish I would have gone the first two years, but oh well.

Detour's gonna be awesome :D What's sad is I'm going to end up doing some studying over the weekend, cause I've got a midterm that next week. Seriously, that's not fair, not at all.

I am planning to do an AMV about Villians in a few anime's as well so I'll be in the proper mindset to enjoy your panel. :)
