Best AMV Convention?

Postby SQ » Tue Jul 25, 2006 11:53 am

So I was wondering, from you guys what is the convention you just can't miss if you're an AMVer? I'm not talking about "best anime convention", but "best AMV Convention".

I used ot always think AWA was the hot spot, but every year it seems like more people will say Otakon or Sakuracon.

So, what is the best convention for AMVers, AMVs, and AMVing?

Never been to Sakuracon, but I do go to ACen, Otakon, and AWA each year, and have heard numerous stories about AX and Fanime who also have big AMV contests. And I can say without a doubt, of all of these, AWA is by FAR the cream of the crop.

ACen.

Sailor Bubba gives automatic +50 modifier to all ACen activities.

You just love it because they gave you a giant cowbell for your porn vids. And the good times at Ushicon were all had at NON-Ushicon locations ;)

Why must you remind me of how I miss Austin? :(

I haven't been to AWA yet (planning this year)

But I can say that ACEN has a good group of people running it and much fun is had by all IMO... one of these years I'll see the rest of the con... one of these years...

Nothing to do with the thread other than that Ushi is in Austin, but I wanted to say, I agree with your sig, Seijin.

As a proud University of Texas Longhorn, I would just like to point out, that yes, indeed, A&M can indeed STFU.

UT = 2005-2006 NCAA National Champions.

Suck it, College Station (and OU, and USC, and anyone else I may have forgotten to insult along the way).
