Yo!

I've decided to do I little documentary this year on my trip to Otakon and I'm just curious if I could secure some interviews with some of you creator who are attending this year. I'll really like to interview the Contest Coordinators (that includes you john) and really any one else. I what to make something I can be proud of and I hope you guys don't mind getting videotaped!

No. And don't point the camera at me, and don't ask me for an interview. "Documentaries" often annoy people more than anything else, make things more awkward/irregular, and really serve no useful purpose.

Search for threads on past "documentaries" to read more in detail, or talk to individuals who have experienced both ends of "con documentaries."

At some point you may want to see the films:
Invasion:ANIME
&
Otaku Unite! (this has just been picked up by Central Park Media for DVD release)

More like a giant strawberry.

And I'm both straightforward and honest.

Yeah I have to agree with jBone on this one... while I think it's a cool idea (in theory) I would need to decline.
There have been issues in the past with people trying to do these things and in the end you always end up offending or singling out some group of people.

Sorry man.... :(

It's all good, I hadn't really decided how serious I wanted to be with this project since I'm suppose to be on vacation and not at work. I had originally intended to just focus the story around my experiences with my friends I guess I'll see what happens. I'm used to people yelling at me about that kind of crap. Doesn't matter in the long run because that's the kind of shit you have to put up with in my line of work. And that's just it. I'm not intending to make this a work quality project, just "memories" so at lest respect that because even if you give me the finger on camera or tell me to fuck off it will still be on camera and later on down the road I can look back on the whole experience and enjoy how "real" it feels; Even if most of the footage is uneditable in within my personal and professional standards. :)
