I'm pissed now!

Postby hackerzc » Mon Jul 22, 2002 3:22 am

Oh boy am I pissed now!

I was online trying to locate a copy of my "Star Trekkin" Flash movie to put on my CD (newgrounds.com the place where it is, is down right now so it won't be on the CD, sorry. And it's my best Flash also. Damn) Anyway have any of you heard of a Flash series called "Stone Trek"? Anyway I discoverd the prick who makes is stole my damn idea and made, for the most part, the same thing!
I know this should not make me angree. After all I don't own rights to the song or anything, but it's just the idea, you know. I look at my Flash movies totally different then my AMV's. I take Flash MUCH more serious then anything else (probibly because It was the only long term thing I have ever had as a hobby). Anyway this had me really upset (feeling a lot better after writing this though).
With Flash there are much fewer "great" artists (I have been rated as an 8, from 1 to 10, so I am good, but not the best), and we have a MUCh larger audiance. I have had a few of my Flash movies viewed over 1,000,000 times (those are unique hits, not repeats). So you can kinda see where I am comming from.
Hell, companies even steal ideas for TV series and products from Flash movies on Newgrounds.com (where I am hosted).
It's very compeditive. Which is the reason I got out of it. I wanted something more relaxing, so I started AMV's.

Sorry for spouting off. I got off topic.

I've finally decided: I'll be at the con on Saturday and Sunday - It's nice living so close: I just drive 90 minutes each way instead of paying for a hotel room ^_^

That's nothing, I live 5 miles (like 5-10 minutes) from the BCC. I must be one Baka Gaijin cause I am staying down town (helping to releave the strain of the cost of a hotel room for some one whos friends bailed on him at the last minute). I'm such a nice guy.

LoL you're staying in a hotel when you live that close? Why not let your friend stay at your place instead, relieving both of you of the cost? Or would the cancelation cost money?
