hey, i live in california and was wondering if anyone could inform me of where thses evnts are in my area, i see them all the time online in atlanta and, florida...not to mention foregin countries, but i've never come across one in my state and reeeeally want to go to one so...any help here would be great thanks much!

Well, the largest Anime Convention in your state is taking place this very weekend. It's called <a href="http://www.anime-expo.org/">Anime Expo</a> and takes place at the Long Beach Convention Center. Though based on reports from attendees who are currently there, you may want to steer clear as that particular con doesn't seem to be too good this year.
