they claim there's a DDR tournement at ohayocon. Does ne1 know if this is going to be on an arcade machine or a console system?

ok now...

On the ohayocon web page, there is a schedule up...and I am a tad bit confused. There are 3 seperate showings for amvs.

One is Friday night called AMV screening 1 and looks like it runs for 2 hours. Rich hosts his show right afterwards in Main Events.

Then Saturday at 8 Am is AMV Screening. This lasts for 3 hours which makes me wonder what is on Friday night at only 2 hours.

Sunday has an Overflow showing at 12noon that lasts for 2 hours. So...is the showing on Friday an overflow tape too?

Sigh....it seems they have the same problems as last year. I hope this programming schedule one is the ONLY one they carry over or I am not going to them anymore. Some people can only afford to go to one day and it's really nice to know ahead of time what is going on and when. At this point, it looks like I am going to miss Friday since the only clear AMV contest showing is Saturday morning.

And I wonder who is in the contest and who is in the screening? If anyone knows the whereabouts of these lost pieces of info..post now. Their family is worried

I've got one in the contest (Send Maya My Love) in the drama category and "Why Me?" is in the Sunday overflow.

It's really too bad this got split over two days, since it looks like there's voting involved...

I only sent one video, and it's in the contest - "Haruka's Song", in the drama category.

Splitting the contest over two days would make the attendee voting process a little strange, although I guess it works as long as a category isn't split. If there's any sort of "overall" awards, though, I don't see how it would work. I'm assuming the "judges" will be there for both screenings, so perhaps they'd handle that alone.

Anyway, with the two separate voting blocs, it looks like several videos will have the chance to receive some sort of recognition.

Personally, I'm just happy to be in the contest. Good luck to everyone else! I wish I could be there in person...

I've got my "foreseen companions" video in the Action/Upbeat category and my "nyo-mix" in the comedy/parody. I also have my old "brand new song" video in the sunday overflow.

i just want some recognition for my foreseen companions video.

Since it got split up it looks like I'll be coming up on Friday too. I wish their timesheet on the website had the listing for the game room and tournements too.

!!!!!!!! They took our (meaning Sugoicon's) DDRMAX2 machine!

IDEA! I think I will try to convince SugoiCon to upgrade it from a MAX2 to an EX ^_^

Well, unfortunately it looks like I won't be able to make it after all. One disadvantage to being married- you don't always know what your schedule is going to be. Oh, well.

The video I sent in made it in... and if they go in the order on the sheet, Dark Metropolis will be leading off the contest O-O;;; I can't decide whether this is a good thing or a bad thing...

I just got back from 20 hours of driving from New Orleans. I don't... really... have the gall to go another eight. I hope the rest of you have a great time, though!

...I don't really think anyone in Ohio would care to hear about my trip in SUNNY, HOT, SWEATY New Orleans, anyway.

Yeah, I'm in short sleeves...

I'm gonna love seeing Easton crawling with cosplayers. I'm gonna love it even more to see unsuspecting underage souls get nabbed by Easton's curfew policy.

Inappropriate clothing is considered disorderly conduct in the Easton shopping center. I was at Ohayocon last year of course and they had a plethora of crossdressers. My personal views of that aside, I know what Easton is like and inside the hotel will be one matter...but if they go outside.....

Hopefully they dress in street clothes when outside seeing as how close the Hilton is to Easton Town center or some snooty rich person is going to raise a ruckus. I assume this is what you are meaning with how interesting the clash if you will, will be. ^_~ I thought the same thing.
