If it's in Austin, Carlos could drive them over a DVD copy of NES. :D

It's in October so we could also provide an RVG screener. :)

I really think you guys should look into getting Heroine Virtual (http://www.heroinewarrior.com) and Linux Media Arts (http://www.lmahd.com) into exhibiting.

Why? A few of the videos on this site were made with their products. If you're considering anything related to AMVs then it's not much of a stretch.

We could use all the help we can get. I'll send this all off to the heads and see what they want to formulate. I though they were crazy to suggest a video contest this late in the game, but that's the head of any fan run convention for you. :D

What other types of AMV things are you guys looking to have at the event? Are you going to screen any type of AMVs or just projects?

And I'd be there, but it's a bit too far of a drive :( Good luck with it though, it looks like a lot of fun!

AMV at Linucon

Postby kris_1492 » Fri Sep 03, 2004 1:05 pm

Our Head of Anime is cooking up a bunch of stuff. Sadly our dreams of an AMV contest this year have burst, due to submission time
constraints. :(

Instead he has decided to hold a AMV showcase. I'm thinking he'll show anything he gets his hands on. : )

If you anyone would like to donate to the showcase. You can email him directly at Chase at harriswc (dot) com. He just slipped off to AnimeFest, but will be back after the weekend.

Next year.....It'll be a reality!

Yep, I got the one you gave to Bad Martial Arts for me. And don't forget, you and Machine agreed to do the AMV panel in exchange for beer.

As for submission guidelines, deadlines, etc. for everyone else:

Okay, I need the vids NO LATER than October 1. You can use the physical submission info on the Ushicon thread to get them to me. Our FTP server is acting wonky right now on the Ushi end, so don't use it.

If you need to submit electronically, AIM me (Driftpeasant) and we'll work something out. Or just email me a link and I'll d/l it.
