Ah yeah! I'm going to be there. Look for somebody dressed as Dan Hibiki walkin around signin autographs. XD Also, look for my "Interstella 5555" video in the contest!

I'll probably go to the same hotel I did last time which cost me about $70. To my knowledge nobody else is going down with me so I'm thinking about seeing if anyone else would like to room with me. It would be good to cut that price in half. *eye's convention exchange forum*

Anyway, should be there late friday by the earliest. Looking forward to hanging out with you guys. Later.

*Notices 3 day gap between postings" hmm must be catching some lag from somewhere. Ninja Gaiden, so hard, so fun.

Yeah go to the exchange forum. I'd offer space in one of my two rooms, but we're at 9 or 10 folks at the moment and I'd like to keep it reasonably comfortable. I'll probably have a party friday or saturday, so you're welcome to come.

I guess I should start a thread or a mailing list with the people I know who are coming.

BTW you're coming late Friday :-/. From what I hear, the AMV contest is Friday evening (7ish?), so hopefully you'll make it. They'll show it multiple times, but I wanna go to the first showing ;).

See ya in 3 weeks!

I'm going!

Postby artemis_fawn » Sun Apr 25, 2004 8:12 pm

 Oh I'm so excited! I saw this and went YES! I'm going! ^_^

I don't live too far from Rosemont, actually, and I'm going all 3 days with some friends. *sighs* I've plans to cosplay 2 characters, but the outfits are so simple that all I really need to do is go out and find them in the stores. ^_^ I really really can't wait- it'll be my 3rd convention in 2 years (the other 2 weren't really anime cons..one was the Cubs convention and the other was Wizard World, which I only went to see Sean Astin) . This is going to be a good year to go for me...Saiyuki VA's! ^_^ So exciting..

I am looking forward to see Taku Iwasaki. I love the Witch Hunter Soundtrack. What I have heard of ROD music that is pretty good too. I want to see Shinichi Watanabe cause well he's Nabeshin. :D Finally I want to see Scott McNeil cause I liked some of his voices in anime. If I could I would get just about everyone's autograph but that ain't likely so I am looking forward to those 3 in particular.

Oh, yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing Taku Iwasaki as well. He's pretty good at what he does. I almost forgot about Scott McNeil, thanks for the reminder ^^ I hope to see as many people as I can, but Greg Ayres, Vic Mignogna and Chris Patton are at the top of my list

That's just awesome! ^_^ I've been visiting Greg's website like religiously >.> or maybe I'm just a stalker. Actually, I just keep reading the FAQ on his site about how he became a voice actor. It's something I'd really love to try one day. ^_^

Suddenly, magically, and truly...

I'M GONNA BE AT ACEN THIS YEAR!

It seems like some sort of MISTAKE that I'd be able to go to a con, but it's happening!

Too bad I think I've WAY missed the deadline for AMV contest entry.

[lurk off]

Hey, can't wait! I'm leaving for Chicago in a week - I love the train! This'll be my first ACen, too, and after only eight years of conning! Please, regard my video kindly - I am traveling halfway across the country to premiere a video that is less than one minute long.

I'll also be cosplaying (since you can never be too old for cosplay) as the injured Kamon, Naota's father from FLCL. I just have to work up the creepy, perverted factor :::three seconds later::: OK, done!

See y'all there.
