Who's going to Katsucon 10?

This forum is for the announcement and discussion of anime conventions, and for the exchanging of rides to, and rooms at, conventions.

From what I've read, the following people are attending: narcted, mckeed, Kusoyaro, GeoChansey, paizuri. I know from word of mouth that several others will be going. It'd be nice to have a meet-up thingy but all of them that I've tried to plan have fallen through. Anyone wants to take a stab at it, help yourselves.

Woo, just two more hours til Kwasek's plane lands and I pick him up from the airport. Corbo and mooooooooo should be arriving at my place shortly after...followed by Nightowl, jbone, mckeed, Tenjou, himemiya (I think), and a few others. Then the long caravan down to the con tomorrow afternoon...woohoo!
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

Um...that second name should be an "m" followed by a bunch of o's...as in, the noise a cow makes. Weird, a filter or something must have caught it.

I thought the 8-O filter was old news by now.

Well I thought it thoroughly sucked. The best video I saw was called Karaoke gone wrong. The tech people at Katsucon even had problems coming up with vcrs for the panels. This was Katsucon 10 they should know what they need to do by now. Lets see Sucky programming and no fan parodys at all! Yeah katsucon pretty much blew. Besides looking at the little schoolgirls.

Yeah, Katsucon had a few problems (i.e. lack of video equipment for panels, a cosplay line in which the end of line was hard to find, no fanparodies besides the River City Rumble film). However, since I usually attend cons to watch things besides episodes of anime (although I did watch some of the "announced at the last minute" premiere of ADV's treatment of Azumanga Daioh), I found the con enjoyable thanks to For Randy's Productions (a group who does game shows) debut in the D.C. area, the comical moments of the Megatokyo panel and Anime Name That Tune, and the cosplay contest.

BTW, for anyone who's looking for the Karaoke Gone Wrong video, this link will lead to a place where you can download the video (as well as two more AMV's from the same creator).
