I think you're taking it just a <B>*tad*</B> too far, here, bordering on pure rudeness.
It's not that people are <B>*complaining*</B> that they can't export to VHS; it's that people are simply <B>*noting*</B> that it's becoming more and more of a trend that VHS is simply being eliminated from the "must-have" set of hardware AMV editors choose to have.
Like Hsien and others have said, more and more people are just doing everything straight digital these days (rip the DVDs, edit them digitally on the computer, export a final version there, and encode to MPEG-2). <B>For the vast majority of conventions</B>, this is MORE than enough (nevermind usually the preferred submission format).
