South. Cali. Anime Conventions?

Postby CHWOODYARD » Wed Oct 08, 2003 4:37 pm

Umm..... There's the biggest anime convention in America, Anime Expo, and it is held in the Anaheim Convention Center this year and will be held there next year on July 2-5 2004.

Also, there is another convention called the Pacific Media Expo. It will also be held in the Anaheim Convention Center on May 29-30 2004. I want to go to this con, their very first one, because they are going to have some great guests and it's close to my house.
Hell is something that parents made up to scare kids, like the Boogie Man or........Micheal Jackson.

Yeah, the big one is Anime Expo.

If you're impatient and can't wait till the summer I know Anime LA is January 30-February 2004. Anime LA.

At the risk of being somewhat of a necroposter, Anime Expo this year has confirmed attendance this year at being over 25,000. The title of biggest anime convention is once again back on the West coast. Will Otakon measure up?

(The staff is still counting for an official tally, but rumor I hear from staffer friends is Otakon will have to beat 34,000 to still be #1)

Well..I went to Anime Expo in Anaheim, and one of the staffers told me that last year's total which was about 17,000, suddenly DOUBLED outta nowhere, and if u looked at teh previous years, it grew from a few hundreds to a few thousands and then it doubles. Which made a huge problem when it came to lines. And about 10,000 ppl registered online, and on the day before the convention where pick up there badges, about ALL 10,000 came and more. SO they didn't expect that. The result? ppl stand in line 4 HOURS on end...XP..so i dun think it'll be too long till Anime Expo beats Otakon by the looks of it...And I hopt it does too..then...maybe it'll attract more better guests..ehehehe... :D

Holy Necro Post! This thread is discussing AX 2004. Start a new thread if you're looking for a ride for AX 2005. It's still 6 monthes off, I would think most of us don't have our plans set in stone, besides hoiping that July 4th weekend will be free.
