I just was wondering: has a locale been selected for Thursday night? Or do I need to e-mail you for info, Red Wolf? Also, what time are you planning for? I'm hoping to be arriving around 9PM.

I think we'll go ahead and try for the Japanese restaurant since that seemed to get a good response. I'm going to talk to the management there about group accommodations this weekend and I'll post a report on how that goes. Do we want the sushi bar or the cooking table things (if there is an actually name for those tables or that style of restaurant please let me know).

We should all meet at the AWA hotel's lobby at a set time. As for time I was looking at earlier than 9:00PM :? How late do y'all want to eat? I was planning on arriving at the hotel by 6:30 but I can arrive up to an hour earlier if needed (depending on traffic). Naturally I'd like to include everyone who's arriving that night but I don't want to feel threatened if I'm surrounded by hungry anime fans

Post four things for me if y'all would and I'll have a plan fully laid out after this weekend:
1. If you're going and how many other parties may be with you.
2. How late can you wait to eat (assume a 5:30-9:30 window)?
3. Will you have a car and if so how many can it hold?
4. Do you want sushi or the cooking tables?

Maybe I should start :P
1. Just me *sniff*
2. I'm game anytime. I'd rather have a late dinner than miss late arrivals.
3. Yes and it can hold four others.
4. I vote cooking tables since 1) it will appeal to more people and 2) it gives better seating for group socializing. This being said, I've been wanting to try out the sushi bar at this place.

1.) Hopefully, I'll be there before 9PM *Crosses fingers* If I am, then it'll be just me.
2.) Well, depending on the time I get there, probably not that long :( Once this thread is filled with more info determining time, I'll be able to give a more accurate yea/nay status. Until then, you don't have to put me on the list.
3.) I will have a car. Though I would be able to pick anyone up, I may be able to drop people off.
4.) No preference, though I'm leaning toward cooking tables. Sushi can get expensive

1: Alone
2: Anytime
3: Yes, four people + driver. I can also act as designated driver should one be needed.
4: Either is fine.

*Snort* Seriously. This time I'll be sure and bring more USB cable for authentic tentacle-tastic effect.

I think the difference here is that Quu's system actually PLAYS MPEG1 files.

I hope?

MPEG1 is all I have left of some of the panel material, since the originals and source were lost in a hard-drive death...

1. I hope so
2. Later is good. Before 9 I would hope... I try to get to bed early Thursday so I can stock up on sleep before the con gets into full swing.
3. A big maybe. If so, about 2 people other than me and Brett.
4. Either is fine. Whichever is cheaper...

1. Don't know, but if so, probably me and one other person.
2. Timing is irrelevant.
3. No, so sqrt(-1)
4. Anything edible at at least slightly nutritious.

1. If all goes according to plan, myself and one other will be there. Also 2 other possibles may join me. So up to 4 max. And if the plan falls through, well then I'll probably miss the con altogether.
2. I plan on arriving in town around midnight Wednesday, so anytime works for me. 75% odds at the moment that my plan will work out.
3. Yes, my truck can haul myself and one other comfortably, 2 or 3 more slightly uncomfortably, and probably 10 more on the back... although they'd probably fall off... or have to be chained down. If either of the 2 possibles comes, they each have their own car and live in the Atlanta area. So that could change things as well.
4. Cooking tables would probably be a better idea.

Thanks to everyone posting their info, this is working out well. So far we have a maximum of 15 people going and a minimum car room for 13 people so I think we're doing okay with transportation (just posting here to bookmark so I don't have to redo the math later). If you haven't posted yet and you have a 50% chance of being to go or better then post away.
