Does anyone know if there is anime conventions in washington not d.c but normal washington, if you do please tell me, also maybe in oregon to.Thanks...

Yeah, I know. But that's the point. Compared to places where most Americans live, D.C. is a den of beggars, thieves, lawyers, con-artists, and hordes of miscellaneous do-gooders-hiding-megalomaniacal-lust-whilst-pretending-to-be-just-plain-folks; i.e. bureaucrats.

The city is in the news so often that people start to believe it is representative of the nation. But it ain't even close.

That said, there are some decent people in D.C. I might even know a few. And I was born there, too - which isn't really saying a whole lot :roll: .

On topic: Sakura-con is your best shot at a local convention, but if you can drive a few hours, there's Anime Evolution up north in Vancouver.

In Oregon, there is an anime convention, Kumoricon. But Sakura-Con is a kick ass convention and their AMV contest RULES... Not that I'm biased or anything (see sig.)...

Were new to the Washington area. Which is a better con to go to, kumoricon in portland or anime Evolution in Vancouver? thnx! :P
