Manifest (Australia)

Manifest, the Melbourne Anime Festival is drawing near.
Manifest is one of Australia's largest Anime conventions and will be held over the weekend of August 9 and 10 at Melbourne University. Currently they haven't been given any premieres by Madman, my best guess is Jubei-chan and Hoshi no Koe. But that's only a guess. Their AMV competition, which hasn't had a very good history, seems to be organised for a change and looks very promising. It should be very interesting to be on the competing side of things for a change and to talk to their organisers. Oh and I nearly forgot to mention the AMV panel I'll be giving. While I'm still not sure how it will go, nah it'll work out.

Somehow I ended up on some-kind-of travel and accommodation committee, which I found to be quite odd (being from Adelaide) I'm currently working on some budgets and I'm in touch with some of the closer Hotels and Hostels as well as the interstate plane/train/bus services. If anyone is interested in travelling to Manifest this year, feel free to reply to this post, or email me declan_vee@iprimus.com.au
I'd love to see some international travellers this year

A lot of the details for this year are missing, which is a shame. Last years Manifest was a blast, and right know I wishing we bought their excess of BBQ sausages. Hopefully they'll update their website soon, with some more concrete details.

Luckily for i'm moving out roughly mid-late august so I can have all the tim ein the world to do what I want when I want.

If you hear of any others coming up after august, yell at me
