O_o... was only there for an hour? Why did you go then? Man thats a waste... Didn't you read the schedule first?

I was in the registration line as I didn't pre-reg... it didn't take that long (I got there an 1hour before it started)... and does it matter if its corporate run?

ummm...no..you're missing the point. I said it's corporate run and had more bootlegs than anime north, which was weird since I would think if it was corporate run, they would pay more attention to that... and about me going..I went because i'm an otaku and didn't know it was going to take so long to get into it, I can't tell the future.

... or maybe they don't care. Either way I mistook the sentence as anti-corporate and I must apologise.

No I'm not questioning why you went even though you didn't register and had to wait in line... but rather you went for only an hour. Was it because you were in line so long or because you didn't find anything to your liking and thus never returned? just wondering.

Sorry if I sounded rude, I know it'd hard to comprehend online speech at times. I meant that since I was in line for so long, me and my friend only had about an hour to an hour and a half until the con was over for the day, and since I don't have the $$ to buy tonns of stuff plus get a hotel room, I only go to cons for one day...Nothing aggainst CNAnime or anything but it's a bit out of the way for me (not to mention I didn't leave at the earliest of times for it)...but even then, I found it too be too messy (in the sense that the Comic Books were just mashed in with the anime) >I didn't really like that< and they need MORE people running the cash registers for the tickets...I mean...that line was friggin around the WHOLE center it seemed like, my knees were aching but I was too excited to quit then. I MAY go again but..I guess it depends on how much I spend at Anime North this year.

Yeah I know...

Which day did you go? Friday is usually the worst day to go due to the line being so long and the convention only running a couple of hours... Saturday (because of its length) and Sunday (because of its less crowds) are IMO the best days to go. Plus do you live in the GTA? cuz I live in Brampton and I always go for the weekend, so attempt to sleep in town one of the nights (usually sat night) by a friends or even in a car...

I liked that part, because I'm not bombarded with only one type of thing... me and my friends are into different things so they when we are walking down the isles... anime table for one... comic table for the other and so on and so forth... if it were seperated some of the appeal would be lost... thats why am I somewhat wery of AN... because when I went to CN... 3 aspects of my fandom where satified... now will I get an anime overload is what remains to be seen... if I enjoy AN then I will come back... if not.... I will still go to CN regardless... its become somewhat of a tradition.

Too bad I can't go. Anyways, this is cool that Canada has its own anime event :D .

I might not be there in person, but tomorrow, YTV WILL be there!!!!!!!!!! So, I can see it through them. Carlos and Sugar from YTV's The Zone will be there hosting the Zone live, tomorrow. So will that lady from YTV's Vortex. I am glad because they will show off what goes on there. This will be the best I will get into and an anime convention. Hey, you guys should look for the YTV crew cameras, and somehow jump into their view so I can see what you guys look like :P .

One thing I am mainly jealous about is the fact that they have stacks of Official anime DVDs to buy, stuff that I can't get in regular stores, and I am stuck here only able to look at it through my TV  .

Well, the Vancouver one is the closest to me, yet it is still pretty far. I live about five hours from Vancouver. Plus, I don't have the funds to take me there, either.

And the both have amv Contests. Anime Evolution in Vancouver will also have a ANime Music Video track which I'll be running... Will be showing both DDR projects as well!

I was party of the para troop that helped Carlos learn a Para song! I don't know when it will air, but I'll be the one in the back that was messing up during the song (they had to pick the one I'm least versed with!)
