ANIME EXPO Tokyo 2004

hi i was wondering who was all going to this, the convention was anounced at SakuraCon 2k3 and the convention will take place in Sunshinecity Ikebukuro, Tokyo. from 1/16-28 2k4 i am planing on going about a week before to spend time in tokyo. and it will be the first Amarican style anime convention over in japan. with over 80 translators so you dont realy need to know japanese to go. but just wondering peoples thoughts on it.

I would LOVE to go, but just can't afford it I don't believe. It is was later in the year of 2004, I might be able to save up to do it. But yeah that would be awsome!

How much does it cost to go there? can any one give me more detail on that.

Well, according ot everything I have read, the website for the thing should be up in a month or two. But I hear the all-inclusive packages out of CA they will provide are around $1200.

I had decided that I was going to go but then decided to put the money towards a new plasma TV. So maybe I'l catch the next one. (Hell I still might Go once I get more info)

Also, remember to add in the cost of a passport and all that other stuff (assuming you don't have one). And If you have to fly from another state to CA to catch the plane, add on the cost of that round trip ticket. I'm in Maryland, so obviously I would need to catch a plane to CA first.
