Re: Which Cons do you attend?
I've been to:
Portcon (2009)
Anime Boston, Otakon, & Another Anime Convention (2010)
Of those my best experience at the con itself was AAC, something about the social dynamic there really worked well for me. It was laid back, friendly, and there were plenty of things to do.

Simon's Rock is my Alma Mater, I had no idea it ever had an anime convention (sounds like it only happened once ). I really wish I had been there to see it.BasharOfTheAges wrote:I've also went to Vericon (scifi/webcomics/gaming con @ Harvard) once and Llamacon that one year dokool ran it @ Simon Rock.

Re: Which Cons do you attend?
Llamacon was run by dokool (the guy who did the deathnotepad thing @AAC) in 2006: http://www.animecons.com/events/info.shtml/942 - They didn't have anyone else that had that much drive to keep it going after he went back to nihongoland.Warlike Swans wrote:I've been to:

Re: Which Cons do you attend?
AX - Fills my large con needs, and I like to support my local con
AWA - Only con like it IMO, like to hang out with a lot of editors I don't generally see, best con for atmosphere
Yaoicon - Wife loves it, I work for it
Comic-con - No Anime con will fill the needs this con does
Botcon - Only when it's in Southern California but hell it's a Transformers Convention

Re: Which Cons do you attend?
I haven't been to a con yet. Previously I was thinking of going to Anime Festival Orlando the last 2 years because its only a 2hr drive for me. Lack of driving skills (and Directions) prevented me one year, and the other year I completely forgot. Maybe ill go this year (?)
There is a con (out of FL state ) I have my eyes on and will attend no matter what.

Re: Which Cons do you attend?
Shouldnt that be 2005 - 2011 (2005 being my first year running the contest and I remember accidentally knocking your entry (Classical Flight) out of syncVlad G Pohnert wrote: Sakura-Con (Seattle) - 2006 -to 2011 - Run the worlds largest AMV Room (Just ask Waffle boy)
As for me, all I have been able to afford to attend is Sakura-Con and Ive done that since it started

Fighting weak oponents leaves me feeling so empty inside.
