A semifinal drop makes me super sadface. :(

Also, I don't recognize the AMV a couple of these are recreating. D:

Edit: a little searching helped. I'm good now. >_>

It took me a lot of effort and google searches to find the original for these videos. The Chillout and Odorikuruu recreations were the only ones that I immediately recognized.

anyway, here is a list of the originals

Video #1

Video #2

Video #3

Video #4

Video # 6

Now I just gotta finish judging them before I leave out to the airport.

Loved this round, all the videos were really enjoyable to watch though I only recognized the original for #4. Also I'm a little sad there was a drop. :(

I don't have any particular favourites this round cause they were all BRILLIANT. But here's my opinion on each of them.

Video #1: Beautiful. <3
Spoiler :
The beginning started off a little slow but the mood was perfect and it was really beautiful.

Video #2: LOL.
Spoiler :
Haha, I found this one very amusing because it really showed the inner workings of an editor's mind for a competition like this.

Video #3: Epic.
Spoiler :
Awesome sync, awesome editing, awesome pacing, awesome effects. Awesome.

Video #4: Chill.
Spoiler :
I didn't get this one at first but then the name Chillpill came up along with "the making of" made me recognize it and I definitely think whoever edited this did a great job. Especially with the "the making of", that was cool beans.

Video #6: Ohmy. :ying:
Spoiler :
Total source mismatch but done VERY VERY WELL. Also the sync was superb. It definitely wasn't what I was expecting with this song but it matched so well and heck, I really enjoyed watching this one.

I actually can't picked a favourite this time. ;___;
/totally disregarding my response of 'YUUUUIIIIIIIIIII!'
So yeah I loved all the videos this round!

Now, I'm going outside. It's sunny and warm. I almost forgot how that felt so imma enjoy it while I can, since it's Ireland and it probably won't last long. D':

Btw, I didn't know only one original video, but I was able to guess what anime the original video used :ying:

That said, maybe this theme might have been used earlier, I think there would have been lots of interesting pieces from that O:

Video 1
Spoiler :
Really disappointed here. One of the reasons the original video was so beautiful was due the creative use of large, empty rotos. Without that simple but unique effect, I actually had to look up which video you were making an homage for. :/ Very lazy. I mean, large amount of the rotos were still frames >_> Come on... Now it's just a video using the same song, nothing more.

Video 2
Spoiler :
Very creative take on FEIVE :D Big Big Truck would be proud....however...logos? Really? *takes the TBS logo that is in the majority of your footage and smacks you in the face with it several times*

Video 3
Spoiler :
I think I actually like the beginning of your video more than the original >_> While it's a shame you could recreate all the roto effects throughout the video, I mean, you only had a week :P I'm not gonna be hard on ya there. You did enough to get the idea across and made a pretty solid video.

Video 4
Spoiler :
I enjoyed the "Making Of" more than the "original video" >_>

Video 5
Spoiler :
Best of show. Oh wait... D:

Video 6
Spoiler :
Zomboleeeooo~ I want to dance around the room and then shoot my neighbors in their faces :3

Also, obvious numbering was obvious. If it's gonna be so easy to see wut u did thar, don't make it blind judging >_>

Thanks for this, saved me time of having to find a few. Couldn't judge theme otherwise.

If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. So basically...as long as Ileia makes a video, not even a good one, for the next round...she wins P.O.E. |:>

Congratulations Ileia :D

Watched all the videos in full now. Very well done everyone!

I'm also ashamed to admit that I haven't seen hardly any of these videos that they're using for inspiration. :uhoh:
