Head-to-heads:
There are three head-to-head matches in Round 3: two USA-USA (Matches 75 and 78) and one Canada-Canada (Match 81).
There are three potential head-to-head matches in Round 4: two USA-USA (Matches 85 [Kikai Saigono and AngelDragoon] and 88 [Ileia and Mamo!]) and one Italy-Italy (Match 90 [Riccardocasu and NemeRox]).
Sweden is the only other nation with a potential head-to-head match before the finals, in Round 5 at Match 91 (Neverend and Niwa).
Sole representatives:
There were five sole survivors in Round 2, who went a combined 3-2. Kyotachi (Austria), JCD (Germany), and Starsy7 (Mexico) were winners, Nya-Chan Production (Czech Republic) and Mystyk (Hungary) were eliminated. Starsy7 (Mexico) is the only sole representative still alive.
Those three sole survivors are also the only sole survivors in Round 3.
Undefeated/Winnless:
Mexico is the only nation to still be undefeated.
Australia and Japan were undefeated in the first round, but both went winless in Round 2.
France lost for the first time in Round 2, but maintains a perfect 5-0 record against USA. That's the only perfect record between nations greater than two matches.
Sweden and Italy were both 3-0 in Round 2 and a combined 6-1, for the best record other than Mexico. France trails just slightly at 5-1.
Positioning:
There were seven winners who won both their matches from the lower bracket slot; four (Kikai Saigono, JCD, Mkid, and Kristyrat) are also in the lower bracket slot for Round 3.
Only one winner (AngelDragoon) won both matches from the upper bracket slot. AngelDragoon will also be in the upper slot for Round 3.
Nine winners off the lower line in Round 1 won off the upper line in Round 2, five winners did it the other way around (Round 1 Upper/Round 2 Lower). Eight of those fourteen will continue their alternating pattern (five L/U/L, three U/L/U).
Only Krystyrat can make it to the finals occupying the same bracket position in all rounds.
One editor in each bracket can reach the finals by alternating their position in each round (Silk_SK, Ileia, and Heavy). [Note: Only two editors in each bracket could possibly have done this, the other three (DaCoolGohan, Scoob, and LittleAtari) have already been eliminated]
Nation numbers:
Australia, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Japan have had all their competitors eliminated.
Eight nations remain in the competition, from an original eighteen.
With Eclipse's loss in Match 60, Canada is no longer able to take all three finals slots. The USA is the only remaining nation that can do so, but only has one editor still standing in Bracket 3 (Unlimited Rice).
None of the Round 4 matches has four different nations' entrants as possible competitors. Four have two potential USA contenders (Matches 85, 86, 87, and 88), one has two Canadians (Match 89), and one has two Italians (Match 90).
