I'll throw in my usual batch of notes that are probably of no interest to anyone but me.

The USA is the only nation with head-to-head matches this round. 14 of them, in fact, with another one guaranteed in Round 3. Six are in Bracket 1, six more (and the Round 3 match) are in Bracket 2, and only two in Bracket 3.

The earliest possible head-to-head match for any other nationality is in Match 72, if both Dr. Dinosaur and Kristyrat win their matches. Several more are possible in Round 3: Match 74 (Moonlight Soldier/haunter103), Match 81 (Chiikaboom/Phantasmagoriat), Match 82 (HeavyAMV/Kain-X-Spirit), and Match 83 (Guy07/NME). 3 all-Canadian and 1 all-French matches are possible in Round 3.

There are five sole representatives in the bracket: Kikai Saigono (CSA), Starsy7 (Mexico), Otohiko (USSR), Janzki (Finland), and dokool (Japan).

Five nations (Australia, Austria, Czech Republic, Netherlands, and Poland) have exactly two representatives. None of them can meet their countrymate before the finals.

None of the three nations with exactly three or four representatives can take all three spots in the finals. France will have at least one eliminated in Bracket 3 (Match 82 would be the elimination match), Hungary in Bracket 1 (Match 85), and Italy in Bracket 3 (Match 93). Sweden has three editors in Bracket 1 and has two potential head-to-head matches there (Match 86 and Match 91).

Germany is the nation with the fewest entrants (five) that has at least one editor in each bracket. The earliest possible head-to-head matches between Germans are in Round 5, in Match 92 (JCD/Falconone) and Match 93 (Noss/Lapskaus).
