ROUND ONE
Finally!! Seriously, those brackets took for-frickin-ever to create. Damn stupid little flags >_>... ANYWAYS!
The Online AMV Iron Chef Tournament v4.0 is OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY! If you are a contestant, go look at the brackets and see who you are up against. At this point it is now up to YOU to get in contact with your opponent and figure out when you want to do your match.
Keep in mind that you don't HAVE to do your match at the exact same time as your opponent. I would personally PREFER if you did, because A) it makes it more fun, knowing that your opponent is hard at work at the same time you are, B) it makes getting your results faster, since if you edit first, you have to sit on your video until your opponent edits and then the judges vote, and C) it makes it WAY easier on the coordinators >_>... BUT, I understand that scheduling conflicts are bound to happen. If you absolutely cannot find a time that works for both people, then at least try and pick a day/time where the two of you can edit within 24 hours of each other. Again, not an outright requirement, but lets try and make that work.
Now, one thing to keep in mind about this round specifically that will ONLY apply to this round, and it's something that I did not do in the previous tournaments. If you would like to know the GENRE of the SONG you are going to end up with, you can ask me privately. This may help you select what sources to add to your list. Now, understand that these genres were determined by myself, given my own personal understanding of the music style. What I define as "Rock" you may define as "Alternative" or whatever. Point is, don't be disappointed if what you get isn't EXACTLY what you were expecting.
One other note is that for some people's names, I changed them slightly from how they appear on the org. Most of the time I just got rid of superfluous text characters (underscores, dashes, etc.), and for some people they preferred to be listed as something else. Here are the more notable changes:
HOW THEY APPEAR ON THE BRACKETS --> THEIR ACTUAL ORG NAME
Not that this matters specifically but here's a breakdown of the nationalities in the tournament:
