The recent DMCA law that passed lets us actually rip footage legally. The issue is now
music...imo artists will either get so tightly focused on keeping their music from being downloaded that the copyright laws...or the interwebz...just get shut down.
OR artists will just let it go and we can make amvs legally. At least thats how i see it going down in the next several years :l
Making amvs isn't all that unlawful, it's the distribution of them that is.
Yeah..but i mean...i dont charge people to watch my stuff and most of the time it promotes the music/anime. I didnt start listening to Regina until i saw a really well done amv with her music. I owe it to that amv for promoting her work, but because of copyright on youtube...it might get taken down at some point. :/ Thats one of the main reasons why i really like org...theres no videos that are taken down for unnecessary reasons.
