most RE-watchable anime

ok everyone has their favourite series, for some its the newer stuff like clannad (zomg looks at pas) and for some its older stuff because they think it is anime in its prime. however what i want to know what is the series you can rewatch the most. not necessarliy the best you have ever seen (tho they could possibly be the same) but one you can sit down and just watch over n over. things that gave you a real value for money when you bought it (or a value for inet quota?)

for me its initial D. i have no idea why, its probably one of my favourite series but definetly not my most favourite, but theres just something addicting about watching takumi cornering over, and over, and over.

Ummmm... the only I watched twice was FMP, once in I-net and then again when I bought the DVD's.

Can't imagine to watch an anime twice, isn't it damn boring?

CLANNAD

Seriously though... I find it's usually ones with stand alone episodes, most commonly comedy.

For myself, it's Lucky Star, I swear I've seen it at least 5 times, and I'll notice more stuff everytime I watch it.

FLCL
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebelion
CLANNAD

These I've been able to watch over and over again without getting bored. I put CLANNAD on my Zune and I rewatch it inbetween classes at school.

I'd say various eps of Lucky Star and SHnY. Personally I also rewatched Shakugan no Shana and Zero no Tsukaima a second time each, but that's just me. In the case of LS and Haruhi though, you can watch them randomly, even a random episode each time. So IMO, those are good choices. o.ob
I dare you challenge me.

I've re-watched a lot of Cardcaptor Sakura as well as Fruits Basket and Karas.

CCS: Lot of episodes, lot of cards, lot of fun. ^_^

FB: Love the plot more than I do my own life. X_X

Karas: The movies are just amazingly well edited, and I seem to find some new thing I missed every time I watch it.

QFT
this thread needs moar truth :/

Not only is code geass really good, but it's also one that you can watch, then call a friend over and watch all of it at once and then call another friend over and repeat.

I dunno how many times I've watched FLCL...probably around 5 or 6 (due to [AS] not getting new material very often)

Agree!

And I personally think that Fate/Stay Night is really Re-watchable. Although I dont like the ending, but the action scenes, story plot and characters design are cool!
Overall, it is a great series !!!

Agree with the above.

Also I did forget to mention Code Geass, along with Minami-ke. Boy have I watched those to death :'D

For me, it'd have to be FLCL and Gundam Wing. Can't tell how many times I've watched both and never tired of them. And it seems I should start checking out Clannad too, friend's been bugging me to.

Hmm my initial response is to say all that I have on dvd (hey I didn't get it on dvd just cause I had to much shelf space to waste :) ).

But hmm Sailormoon (maybe my Live Action more so).
Ranma (stuff remains funny).
Urusei Yatsura (it's great slapstick after all).
Air TV (so that I can cry to it all over again).
Oh My Goddess (mainly the first OAV set).
Love Hina (again, great laughs).
Tenchi Muyo (OAV set).
Slayers (great comedy).
Nadesico (great comedy)
Full Metal Panic (great comedy)

I'm noticing a trend here, I tend to like reasonably finite series with a great comical story involving a strong male character with Tenchi syndrome.

I think some of the anime that has had the biggest impact on me has been the one season stuff (13 or 26 shows).
Bubble Gum Crisis 2040 was superb.
Tokyo Underground
Blue Gender

I've watched a lot of stuff made in the last couple of years that I have only had the pleasure of in proto dvd form though.
I usually only watch a sub once. I might get it in dub in time and rewatch it a few times.

I'd love to buy a copy of Kasimasi Boy Meets Girl. I've not seen a better romance anime in a long time.

I've found I will avoid re watching a series if it's overly long. If I can't watch all of it in a short timespan, I tend to not bother starting.
Anime, one of the few things about the internet that doesn't make me hate the internet.

FLCL. It's only six episodes so it doesn't take much time, and there's so much depth to it that it's easy to notice new things every time. Also, the animation is gorgeous.
