Escaflowne - 770

Postby Jace Tsunami » Tue Dec 31, 2002 2:10 am

I bought the first 4 escaflowne dvds a while back and really enjoyed the seres but just never really had enough money to uirther the experience. Now though however, I have the remaining 4 dvds and the movie, I plan to watch them all and I've been in constant motion. Just to re-cap since it's been almost a year since I've watched the series I'm watching the original 4 too. I looked up all the run times and combined them together, it came out to be 770 minutes, 12.83 hours. I'm guessing with the skipping of the of the previews and credits it'll come out to be about 50 minutes less, 12 hours flat. Considering the hour, how long do you guys think I'll last? I'm currently half way through disc two.

My friend and I watched the whole series and movie over 2 days once. Props to you if you can do it all at once. Keep it up! (Especially in the cat girl scenes  )

I lost it at around 4 in the morning half way through disc 4, I guess I didn't prepare enough, just kinda decided to go for it.

But I'm back on track! into disc 5, ate a piece of cake and have a good nights sleep, NO EXCUSES! I'd pretty much say this late victory is going to be mine now!

As homer simpson once said, "well son you tried and you failed miserably, and the lesson is, never try" lol, j/k, it's ok, i don't think i could do it, but just finish it up, that's still and accomplishment.

DONE!! with the series anyways, i've still got to watch the movie. It is the ultimate edition, so if I watch the extras that's a whole other 200 minutes... hmm, should I go for it?

NO! Just watch the movie, the extras are pretty dull. What'd you think of the series btw?

I thought it was pretty bad ass ,except for when they pulled that evangelion type ending. Where god and humanity intertwine, the world is saved and nothing really happens. And then it didn't even really look like Van and Hitomi hooked up to me. I also hated that she kept no real connection with gaia. Other than that the entire thing was awsome, really bad ass i'm glad I have it.

There some Escaflowne on tv today. It's on at 4:00 am I think. What a lousy time, but when there's 36 hours straight of animé, they need something to fill out the early hours. Well, right now, Gundam Wing is on, the last 5 episodes at least. Anyways, the first 4 episodes of Escaflowne today, the next 4 tomorrow. Then that's probably all they will show. Until they get more mail telling htem to put it back on. lol

I thought the movie is like a recap of the series...
