Style of anime . . . .

Dont know if this has been talked about before (if it has tell me so we can kill it quick) but what kind of anime do you prefer. You know: comedy, drama, action, adventure, fantasy etc....or a combination of the styles. I personally prefer comedy.

Hmmm, the darker and the bloodier the better. I'm still looking for that Devilman AMON look alike anime.

Pretty much anything, although I much prefer an action/drama mix to just straight action with no plot and blatant eye candy. I don't really go for eye-candy action.

Have you watched Devilman Lady? I'm a long time Devilman fan, but when I watched it (sorta, I'm on the last 4 episodes) I was so disappointed. Just boring.

I had the misfortune of watching the dubbed of Devilman Lady. It was so horrendous I was forced to melt it in acid, bury the remains, and salt the earth so nothing could ever grow there again. I then proceded to urinate on the foul thing's grave and cursed it to forever remain in a state of semi-conciousness so that it could fully appreciate its torment.

I like Romantic anime the best, but with comedy. Guess you could say I like Romantic comedy. Kinda like Tenchi, Love Hina, Mahoromatic, Sailor Moon, etc...

Hard to say.

I enjoy the following anime Ranma (Romantic/comedy), Rurouni Kenshin (Historical/Semi-action), Escaflowne: Girl in Gaeia (Fantasy/biomech), Gatekeepers (Action/Sci-fi), Flame of Recca (Action), Inuyasha (Comedy/Action), Blue Submarine Six (Sci-Fi/Action/Angst), Vandread (Sci-Fi/Action/Mech) and Ninja Scroll (Historical/Action).

yet I'm not much of a fan of Fushigi Yuugi (Fantasy/Action/Romance - But I do so enjoy looking at those Bishounen. Fan service!), Strange Dawn (Fantasy/Adventure - Those tiny creatures creep me out!), Sailormoon (Action/Romance), Ayashi no Ceres (Supernatural/Romance/Semi-action).

So I guess much of it depends on the anime's main plot and its presentation (artwork, character development, etc.)
I'd like to think I'm quirky, but I think I just come off as weird most of the time.

I haven't really seen a great variety of anime, so i'll have to go with sci-fi and fantasy.

Though i think the best animes are the ones that have a little of all the genres incoporated into it.
