I'm not denying the site sells bootlegs if they do, I'm saying they do sell some real stuff, and I can voach for that. I have friends with the same collection, and they got their stuff from places like animenation, or suncoast and they're exactly the same.

I spot-checked "Vision of Escaflowne" and you're right: they do have the legal Bandai DVDs in their catalog. But depending on which volume, you can get them for the same price or cheaper ($19.50 vs. $23) at http://www.dvdplanet.com. Another example: "AMG The Gan-Chan Files" is $23 at discountanime.com and $19.50 at DVDPlanet.

The issue I have with their bootlegs is that they (discountanime) appear to be deliberately mis-stating the names of companies releasing the bootleg DVDs. They're using generic names like "Manga" or "Anime Studio" which makes it difficult to tell what's legal and what's not.

yeah, but the prices I talked about are for entire series. Sure they have some regularish priced stuff, but some of their stuff can get pretty cheap, cheaper than I've ever seen anywhere else, like those box sets.

Let's see, online I get my anime at Direct Connect, under the same name, but a lot of my anime I just buy at the flea market. You have to look quite a bit, but you can find it. I managed to get the Akira DVD for $5. A lot of anime I also just wait for my roomate to buy and then watch his.

The sword at last must win,
Today is gone, and yesterday,
Must echo in the wind.
