Try Samurai X. It's a bit of a two part movie but it's got a great storie. Great incentive to watch Kenshin.

Oh hey, yeah! I'm a big RK fan. Got a website on it and everything.
I'd like to think I'm quirky, but I think I just come off as weird most of the time.

A few good movies:

STUDIO GHIBLI - Just pick a movie from their list. Princess Mononoke, Kiki's Delivery Service, Castle in the Sky: Laputa, Spirited Away, Pompoko, Grave of the Fireflies, Whispers of the Heart and so on and so on.

Wings of Honneamise - In my opinion, this is one of the best anime titles ever made. Top notch animation, brilliant writing, and a world that took over 2 years to build before the script was even written.

Utena - You don't need to see the TV series to see this movie. It is a gorgeous piece of artwork with sometruly original symbolism. Just a feast for the eye.

Akira - The most well known anime film. Many anime fans claim Akira was what got them into anime.

Ghost in the Shell - If you're only interested in cool animation, then you'll like this film. Really just a lot of flash over substance. Aside from being nice to look at, I have little good to say about the movie.

Ninja Scroll - Pretty cool brainless action flick. Great animation and interesting characters make this worth a look.

Dagger of Kamui - An excellent epic film. Complicated plot and older animation style.

Metropolis - Old school brought to the modern day. A little dis-jointed, but it is based on an old comic book and the character designs are based on the old school anime designs of the 50's and 60's.

They Were 11 - Older style animation. Clever plot and interesting characters.

Memories - 3 SHort stories all directed by the gentleman who created Akira. An excellent film - each of the 3 films are very different in mood and style. The last third is an incredible accomplishment in animation.

Perfect Blue - Interesting. Worth a look.

Lensman - This is a terrible movie. The worst one on the list I have here (but certainly FAR from the worst anime movie ever made)... The movie tried to capture the rough storyline of the old 20's Science Fiction novels, but warped the plot so it would be more like Star Wars. If you just want to put your brain on hold, you might enjoy all the action and explosions... or... you might have fun watching this with friends and making fun of it.

and those who don't.

I say a good anime moves are

Armitage III dual Matrix--- it an action movie I think. but it has some kick ass fighting in it by Armitage and I happen to love it
Armitage III Poly-matrix ---- it a pre qual to Dual Matrix and it explains some thing in (you really can get by with out knowing them because dual will explain everything you have to know by the end) both have part of a love story in them

Ah My Goddess the movie -- it has great animamation in it. It a love story and it a really well writen out and down

I know people of said this before but Vimpire D is really good

I'm not so sure about Wings of Honneamise. The animation was beautiful but it bored the hell out of me.

Noooooooo nononononono. That's a grave injustice to Armitage III. I'm not exactly the expert on anime, but I believe this is how it's broken down:

Poly-Martix = Original OVAs edited together to make a full length movie.
Dual-Matrix = The anime equivalent of Spaceballs II.

If you don't get that reference, you need to watch more Mel Brooks

I agree with you that the OVAs are better than poly-matrix. (I own them both along wiht Dual) Poly matrix could of been made better if they did not cut out a lot of the good stuff from OVAs but the 5.1 sounds add a bite the Poly but not nearly enough to make it better than the OVAs

I loved the animation in this one. Of course, AMG generally has superb animation, but this movie entertained me a lot.
