I followed up to the 'it loves me' bit, perhaps someone is seriously lacking some emotional/physical interaction?

Maybe, maybe not. I get the feeling you're one of those shy type people? Unless you've already been forward and have been blatantly rejected?

I swear that is not my intent. Whilst I'm still quite miffed about the amount of self-hate there seemed to be in this thread and utter dependance on the animated entertainment of Japanese origin, I'm just asking a few questions, because you're sounding exactly like someone I know.

So which one was it?

You know your worthless because everybody tells you? What kind of complex do you have? Geez, think for yourself rather than just believing this shit and running to anime, and please don't turn around and go 'just kidding!'. I barely know why I'm wasting my time in the first place.

Perhaps I'm just curious? I fail to see how with anime it's different, please don't say anything along the lines of 'anime's my friend'. :?

Anime is a freakin addiction once you see one you need to see more and more. My anime collection is easily over 10,000 dollars worth now.

I see anime as entertainment that in some way reflects our own lives, whether your as messed up as Shinji in NGE or your surrounded by women like Tenchi.......anime brings a new idea of what life could be and also shows us, the viewers, that maybe some people shouldn't quit their day job........

Like normal entertainment? Because I seem to be the only one who fails to see the difference...

 OOOHHH, you will pay for that!
but I'm not sure how yet. 8)

Fencing can be a lot of work, but it can be a fun sport as well. My collage has a major fencing club, which kicks ass in state competitions, that I've been a part of for about 2 years now. Started with Foil and then switched to Saber. Yes you have to worry about things like right-of-way and target area, but if those are a problem, go with Epee. If you have a good instructor, like my first one, you can have a great time.

BTY: Even though I enjoy it, I still suck at it. Likeing something and having skill at it are two totaly different things. Same argument can be made with some music video makers.

However, if you are interested in a more realistic style (read: more animish as well), try a group such as Amtgard. Use any fighting style you want, almost any weapon you want, it's safe, and a lot of fun. Basically, take a piece of bamboo or pvc, glue a roll of fun noodle foam around it (use it in a swimming pool), and put a good soft tip on the end, and you've got yourself a sword. Now go fight somebody with it. check out www.amtgard.com for a better description.

For the more masochistic sword fighters out there, try SCA. Almost the same thing, but use rattan and pvc instead, and without the padding. And much stricter rules and formality too.
The sword, it thirsts to drink of man,
The sword at last must win,
Today is gone, and yesterday,
Must echo in the wind.
