Magical, Fantasy, or Emotional anime

Postby Akashio » Sat Nov 23, 2002 12:33 am

Does anyone know of any Magical, Fantasy, or Emotional anime? The two I can think of off the top of my head are Sailor Moon (subbed) and Angelic Layer. Oh! and Gundam Wing. A lot of GW was emotion-packed. For example, the end of the first episode. WOW, that was impactful. Anyone know of others? Especially ones that are emotional without being vulgar like Ninja Scroll or Street Figher Alpha. Blech.

I suppose Card Captor Sakura would satisfy that criteria, although I personally never liked it much...

Fruits Basket
Full Moon wo Sagashite
To Heart

Apart from those three, which are very emotional, there's...

Love Hina... welll, sometimes.
Kenshin OVAs
Oh My Goddess
Tenchi Muyo!

That's all I could think of off the top of my head...

Trigun can get pretty emotional, espeicially toward the end.
X tv series, after all Kamui is pretty much a poster boy of teen angst.
Gravitation can get emotional if your into yaoi.
Macross has a sort of cheesey sentimentallity to it

Garylisk, now that I've seen Fruits Basket, I love your avatar even more!!

And to stay on topic, may I suggest Magic Users Club. I started watching this series without much expectations and it really ended up charming me. It's got magic, it's got sci-fi and it's got tear-jerking moments.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. Yeah, Magic User's Club is great :)

Also, I just watched the first half of Magical Project S today. It's good, too... but so far, there's only been a couple highly emotional moments. From some of the clips I've seen from later episodes though, I think the second half is gonna have more moments of that kind. :)
