What books would you like to see made into an anime?

Post by Deathscythe_Animated » Thu Nov 24, 2005 4:32 pm

OK, serious question here. Me and some friends like to toss this subject around alot. What if any book series, comic, manga, etc. could be made into an anime series? What would you chose?

I personally would like to see Terry Goodkind's "Sword of Truth" series made into an anime. This is your shot to get your ideas out there...

Harry Potter, i never read it but it could probably do good.
anything from Goosebumps, old favorite.
any of the stories from A Haunt Of Ghost, pretty good ghost stories.

I've been thinking the Coheed and Cambria albums would make a decent anime OVA series, especially in regard to the current trend of violent anime titles and the really impossible visual effects that would be required. Plus if someone actually tried to make the storyline into something that would make a shred of sense to the viewers, that would be great.

I have to agree, Nimitz class by Patrick Robinson in particular springs to mind.

M. Bulgakov - Master and Margarita

This is asking for an anime. I mean, come on, it even has a person that resembles a cat and young women getting mystical powers and flying around naked. Along with other rather easily anime-able arrangements and humor which would not look good in live action.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Barracuda 945 was really good too. Unfortunately, it's the only other book of his I've been able to read.
