Drawing hairs & hands can be easy. If you're new to drawing you shouldn't go into details i.e. drawing each and all fingers straight away. Instead, start with basic shapes and then gradually add the details.

If you have them on the net it would be neat for you to post them here.

And before trying to learn Japanese, please go here http://www-unix.oit.umass.edu/~thoureau/japanese.html :D

not sure if this'll help

Postby ChibiViVa » Sun Nov 03, 2002 4:53 pm

not sure if this'll help but the How To Draw Manga books are good. At least they are for me! You can go to their official site here:

http://www.howtodrawmanga.com

or ebay...sometimes you can get it for less, i'm not sure, i got mines from the store for bout $20

http://www.ebay.com

try lookin around in your local bookstores like borders or barnes and nobles. they may have some good books there too. i used to have the same problems too with hands. ^_^ it just takes practice. after a few times you get the hang of it!

Personally,i have learned from "HowToDrawManga" and i have seen big progress.I don't have a problem in any of the parts that you said.Did you really try from there? You know, you aren't gonna make awesome manga pictures after some seconds that you looked the exambles.Personally,it took me a few time.
Do what i did.Save the examble pics from the site to your computer and then you can have all the time you need to learn it.

see the thing is i know i wont make awesome ones, but i do, lol... and if i could figure out how to put in a picture then i would show you an old one
anyway... i have tried the sites you have provided so far, i guess i just have a block in my brain, i just cant get the proportions of the hands down, and the hair, well it just sucks, and the feet, they are ok but not great.....
thanks for all the help!

this might help. it's not exactly how i learned but, it just might do some good. i suggest you go and look in some books. it's the best way to learn, really. technically, i think the How To Draw Manga site is better. plus you can learn how to draw some different characters too!

buy the books! their really good for learning how to draw anime! ^.^
