
In Japan, the entire manga was only Dragon Ball. The anime made the transition after Gokou's marriage, because of the dramatic turn the series was taking. Viz I believe, did release it as DBZ. That's just ignorance on their part and desire to exploit the name.

Oh, ok. I had bought some magazines a while back that had the raditz series in it. They were in english but read from back to frontThat makes a lot of sense though. Companies can be greedy about popular stuff.
