I was laughing even harder at the anime looking at the dubbed versions!
Hyatt just sounds like a scared child and all the males sound like.. Wierdos.

Good attempt but failed to sound serious in my ears =)

Isn't that the point, though? To sound silly?

Ya know, excel saga has a grand total of 3 semi-serious episodes. (Eps 23-25) - It's not like the VA's have to sound serious all that often :P

If the VAs sounded seriousl it just wouldn't fit. They should sound as screwd up as the rest of the anime.

Excel Saga is teh funneh. Fave character right now is easily Kabapu.

I'm eagerly awaiting the further DVD releases. Oh, and I love seeing all the bootleg DVD sets go without bids on eBay now that the dubs are out.

Heh, I ment that they failed to express the feelings the japanese VA's create.

Illpalazzo telling Excel to go home by her self in ep.4 as an example. He sounds like someone who just entered puberty, while the japanese VA sounds ticked off.
And Excel just screams all the time in the Dubbs.

Oh well, I don't have to see it I guess. =)

Like you can understand the original without subtitles....besides Japanese is a more rapid sounding language so its rather natural to talk super fast like that. On the other hand only a selected few can talk fast like that in america. Also I think the dub Ipalla is better played than the original...Ipalla is a pansy right? so why dont he sound like that in the original....He sounds like a REAL leader in japan but he realy isnt...

"Heh, I ment that they failed to express the feelings the japanese VA's create"

What feeling are you talking about? There are no feelings....

Alright, professor!
If you prefer pansiness I don't mind.
I was merely interested in other peoples opinions.

And I'm pretty sure that (as an example) when Ill tells Excel to go home by herself in ep4 he's ment to be irritated. But feel free to school me Dr.Anime.

Most languages, even Japanese I'm sure, has different tones when they want to express special FEELINGS.

Heh!

"Hitori kaeru baka" all run together and everything sounds VERY juvenile :P I think they picked the right kind of expression for him.

Feel free to call me professor seriously, as I can usually understand japanese versions with no subs :P

They've changed Excel's voice in the next (?) DVD anyway(it's either the third or the fourth volume) because the VA doing the dub blew out her voice and was told if she continued to be Excel she'd have permanenet vocal chord damage.

Talk about nuts. :) Makes you wonder how they're gonna sound later...

Kotono probably had more time to recover between sessions.

Jessica Calvello fell victim to a stepped-up production schedule that [sarcasm] didn't allow for human frailties. [/sarcasm] Would it have killed them to stick to the schedcule as originally planned?
