Inu Yasha seems to be another Kenshin

Postby skanks » Mon Sep 30, 2002 2:05 am

Not in the aspect of another sword fighting one, but theres alot of eps, and i don't think I will get them all either..
Kenshin is only just comming out DVD and will take ages to get up to where i am up to on fansubs.
Just how Many Eps are there in Inu Yasha, havent watched it, i just scored shite loads of that, Gundam Wing, Princess 9, Ah! My Goddess Hand Maid May, Chobits, Gasaraki,Scryed,Tenchi Muyo..
guess i will have plenty to keep myself occupied..

So far over 80 episodes have been made and they still haven't finished the series yet. Not even close to finished from what I've heard. It does get into some sword fighting after he gets the sword from his dads grave.

Don't just keep the fansubs saying "hey, I'll just keep these since it'll take forever for the domestics to come out..."

You WILL buy the domestics right?

[small note, I hate people who use fansubs as an excuse for "free anime"...]

The Kenshin series is finished now the last dvd was just released. And personally Inu Yasha is 1000 times better than kenshin its just got better plots and cuter characters and evil bad guys.

I have found out the mangas are usually way better than the anime. Right now video girl Ai kicks some major ass as a manga but the anime sucked.

Well the manga is quite lengthy, so naturally one would expect the anime to run quite a while, especially since it uses DBZ-like tactics that annoy and prolong.

If I had a dollar for every time Kagome shouts "INU YASHA LOOK OUT!" and Inu Yasha shouts "KAGOME~~~~~~~~!" not to mention everyone "acting" surprised as hell well old man flea pops up and offers advice, I could buy my own island.

kenshin fan

Postby WFC » Sun Oct 06, 2002 10:49 am

i, personally, thought that kenshin and inyasha couldn't really be compared.

i mean, in terms of sword fighting, yeah they both have it, but kenshin deals with government and is more realistic. inuyasha on the other hand deals with fantasy and demons and stuff. they're two different story lines also.

i'm not sayin that either one is BAD. i like'em both, i just think they can't really be compared. :?

Yer, your right, i gotta clear of Kenshin thoughts when watching InuYashi thing.
I made that mistake before, i watched Cowboy Bebop comparing it to Trigun..
Stupid really.. but it effected my judgement and i couldnt really enjoy Bebop.
Don't wan't to watch InuYashi with "so, hows this suppose to be better then kenshin," rolling in my mind.
Other than that, i just watched Scryed in one day. Those guys really didn't like each other, ehehe. maybe in 3 yrs i might be able to get that on dvd too..
