http://www.rightstuf.com - Huge selection. Great place! Probably the best for all anime and manga needs.

---------------------------

http://www.animenation.com - Huge selection including Japanese magazine subscriptions not found from The Right Stuff.

---------------------------

http://www.amazon.com - Low prices. Excel Saga #2 DVD costs $22 here. It cost $26+ at The Right Stuff and Animenation.

---------------------------

http://www.ebay.com - Insanely rare items! Even rare doujinshi and hentai can be bidded on! Of course there's alot of rare manga and anime too!

---------------------------

Barnes & Noble has alot too. I don't know their web page.

---------------------------

Enjoy! :D

Perhaps they'd rather spend money on a product, thus ensuring more of the same kind of product is released domestically?

Perhaps they don't want to download something that may have been done half-assed?

Perhaps they don't have the capability to download something off of a P2P service? (speaking for myself, I have 56K and P2P services are oftentimes not very forgiving or open to slower modem users)

Amazon is the most reliable source I've found. They're not to bad when it comes to price either.

Yes, paper copies are nice. You can read manga in the bathroom that way.

Manga is something tangible. the scans on your comp aren't. I like to have the actual thing as a collector.

Their home page is easy to remember:
http://www.bn.com

They have a manga category with over 700 titles listed:

Their retail stores have been stocking a lot of manga recently.

Kinokuniya is still the best retail place I've seen, but you have to be lucky enough to live near one.

Alot of places have been stocking up on anime and manga lately. Actually, almost everywhere now has something besides Dragonball Z and Sailor Moon. Yay! Anime is finally starting to become heralded in the way it deserves here! It won't be long before our Sunday newspapers contain manga pieces! Excel Saga would be a great manga to begin with for it's comedy!
