I cant really see why these animes wouldnt be put together?

I kinda liked pokemon when it first came out and I thought it had potensial to grow into a good series but it fell into the trap of corperisation and such.

I never watched Digimon, but from what i saw of ads and stuff it looked really bad...

Akira was great, but i didnt like the end when the big blob made its apearance, i liked the scene were tetsuo was in the bedroom adn all the bears and stuff came out all dripping with milk...

Sailor moon is just not my cup of tea so to speak, i just think the show lacked meaningfull characters

Ghost in the shell was pretty good, but i think it could have been longer and gone into more detail about the cyborg...

Pokemon: I started watching it about half way through the first series and enjoyed it. I don't watch it that much now, but I don't change the channel every time it comes on either.

Digimon: When I watched the first series I said "This is garbage, I'm not watching this" but I came back day after day until eventually I had seen the whole first series. Then I watched the second series and am now almost through the third (the one with Takato and Guilmon - that was really confusing.) Out of them all I like the third one best, it seems to be the most serious without being too repetitive.

Sailor Moon: Never watched it, I already get a slight taunting from my brother about watching Pokemon and Digimon, watching Sailor Moon would throw any remaining respect he had for me right out the window.

Ghost in the Shell: Like most anime movies, it confused me but inspite of that I really liked it.

Akira: I've only seen half of it, but it looked great. I'm gonna hunt down the boy whos got the copy and get to see the end one of these days.

So in answer to your question, I like all those animes too. I cant think of one I don't like, whether they are meant for kids or for adults.

Pokemon was much better in the 1st 2nd & 3rd seasons. After that it got too repetative.

Sailor Moon is my faveorite anime. A lack of meaningful characters? I didn't think so. I love the plot, it's like none other I have seen.

And Digimon 1st and 3rd seasons were the best. The first had a style all it's own. The 2nd season you just have to suffer through the first half to get to the Blackwargreymon and Oikawa part. Then it picks up and is very cool. The 3rd season is by far the best. Excelent plot and very good characters. The end of the season had so many plot twists and turns you have to just wait and see where it ends up ^_^ And the whole thing with Geri and her depression and suicidalness was very well done IMO. 3rd season was much more mature than the other seasons and there were many parts in it that I was surprised the trigger-happy censors let go. Hell, I'm surprised it got on tv at all. lol.

Fox had kicked Escaflowne off air because of it's voilent nature and then they show Digimon 3rd season. O_o What?! lol

My 2 cents.

Well, I have to agree with that. I was actually confused. I couldn't believe that this came from the same base thought of Digimon. It was just too different, but in a good way. And I'm not sure about this whole having to yell, to share the Digimon's pain and to share your strength. I thought that was annoying. Not everyone yells when hurt.

the yelling was one of the finer aspects of the season I thought. It was very moving for me.

Oh yeah...... and they're kids!! Of course they're gonna yell. You'd yell too if you felt the pain of those kinds of attacks!

BTW I am not mad at you Jedi, I'm kidding around. Remember we're talking about 12-13 year old kids here.

I'm not mad at you either. :D
And I think that this is cool how we seem to like the same stuff, since we keep meeting in the same threads.

I love Sailor moon coz of the plot + the ultra cool songs in the Sailor moon R series. I think the proplem I have with pokemon is that it is quite repetative + is way 2 moral 4 my liking.

Yuck sailor moon sucks ass..This is why (I post this somewhere already but gonna post it again):

By far the corniest, cheesiest, most ludicrous, tedious, repetitive, omnoxious, and down right plane idiotic show I ever had the misfortune to lay my eyes on.

Theme song:Any explanation needed? To this day when I hear it, I *STILL* cringe at least 3 or 4 times.

It's REPETITIVE!!!Anyone who says DBZ is repetitive needs to take a look at this sorry fruitcake of a show. This is basically a season:

Serena starts off doing some nutjob thing, like stealing food from little kids or running out of hairspray or something like that. Some crazy stranger somehow becomes intertwined with Serena because of some stupid emotional problem that doesn't make any sense (think soap operas). The supreme monarch of the negaverse tries to steal people's souls in order to take over Tokyo (using soul power), the victim usually being the emotional nutjob, sailor moon goes in and putzes around for 5 minutes (until she finally remembers she has the secret finish move, "tiara love magic") and turns the bad guy into a black bean, or some crazy equivalent. The whack-job somehow gets better, and everybody is la-de-da happy. Now do it 82 times, and you've got a series.

The voices, the music, the animation: The music is basically a mixture between some messed up Walt Disney song and the sound of someone scratching a black board. The voices and animation are also downright horrible.

The humor:Their attempted "humor" consists of people going crazy over nothing and making really stupid facial expressions while moving quickly and yelling. Funny.

The "battlescenes": I'm not sure you can really call the sailor moon battles "battles". The characters are so ridiculously weak it's not even funny. They've got absolutely no fighting skills, and all in all very weak power. My puppy dog could probably take them on.

The corny awkward romance moments: No explanation needed

The art is plain ugly

I could rant on and on and keep explaining why sailor moon sucks so much dick, but I'm too lazy to go on -_-. Besides, this post is long enough, so I will no reveal the #1 reason WHY I hate it so much:

THE FANS!!!!!MOST OF THEM ARE 100% GRADE A IDIOTS!

Well, that was pretty damn long. Those were my 2 cents. Tata.
