Anime in video games

Other good video games (All PSX RPGs actually) with anime cut scenes:

Valkyrie Profile
Breath of Fire IV
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (Although it's combined with CG graphics. Blue Submarine 6 style.)
Thousand Arms
Rhapsody
Arc the Lad

Vanguard Bandits also has anime cutscenes, but it's not a good game. Super Robot Taisen series kicks it's ass hard. :D

And speaking of imports a lot of them have good anime cut scenes out there, but hardly anybody knows about them state-side.

I didnt mention ZOE because this topic was about Anime cut scenes and not anime style games.....But just to add a nice PSx fighting game to the pot...

Evil Zone!

Actually now that you mention it, one of the first games with anime type graphics was FF Tactics (that game is teh rox0r.) and the others would be the mega man legends games. Given MML didn't to the best job anime was clearly what they were shooting for.

There are anime cut-scenes in Bloody Roar: Primal Fury for the Gamecube. I love anime cut-scenes. :d

Oni was based in Anime.
The cut scenes were kinda odd though, but even the character design and story board, I enjoyed it, finished it twice, anything that lets me beat the shit out of people with a chick is fun.

I didn't really care for Oni. The controls were a pain. Then again, I need an optical mouse, since these balled ones just wear out and become less responsive.

controls in Oni

The controls you kinda got used to, its the lack of multiplayer which kinda killed it me thinks.
Thats the reason why i don't own a copy.

If something is worth it, i pay for it, if someone only puts half an effort, the effort part i forget is the obtaining it legally. All my anime I buy (if available) and paid for every blizzard title.
