It's not anime. To the Japanese people, everything is anime. To English people, anime is Japanese Animation, nothing more.

Don't try and argue. Samurai Jack is not an anime, end of fucking story. Anime is "Japanese Animation". It's not ALL ANIMATION, it's all animation to the Japanese. To us, it's Japanese Animation, nothing else. Don't try and argue with me, as I'm right and you're wrong.

*sigh* Here comes the speech again. "Some people are different than me. That does not necessarily make their opinion lesser than mine."

Just because that's how you view the word, Nicholas, doesn't mean that it's the only interpretation.

No, that's not how I interpret the word, that's what people refer it to. Anime is JAPANESE ANIMATION, end of discussion. It's not american animation, it's not all animation (Unless you're in Japan)

You can understand what he's talking about, so why does it matter? I happen to agree on the definition, but it's no reason to yell at 'em.

Okay, look. I flamed you for nothing, and I apoligize. But your definition is wrong. Anime is Japanese Animation. Samurai Jack would be considered american animation.

Hehehehe..... I bet there is one Japan based animation forum where the members argue over American cartoons and how they should be called.

Member 1: Scooby-Doo is animation to the Gaijins, and anime to us!
Member 2: Scooby-Doo is anime all around!
Member 3: Scooby-Doo is animation to us and anime to the Gaijins!
Member 4: Scooby-Doo is the suxxors!
Member 5: I like the Jetsons.
I'm out...

he makes a compelling point.

well you can think/say whatever you want, but to me and most (non-japanese) aniem fans, anime is Japanese Animation. But either way, there is no reason to argue about it lol, such a trivial topic
