So, I guess I am the only one here who prefers the dub versions of anime entirely? Whatever anime it is, I will always prefer to watch it dub. Too bad shows like Card Captor Sakura doesn't have a Dubbed version. Why is that? Why won't the people doing cardcaptors let Pioneer have the dub version for uncut DVDs? The only time they did that was for teh Card Captor Sakura movie.

I love my anime. I also will always watch it dub. After I watch a show dubbed, I will then see it in a subtitled format for comparison sakes.

What do you mean? Cardcaptors is the dubbed version of Cardcaptor Sakura. They just messed it up so bad it doesn't seem like it. Out of order, messed up the story line a bit. But it is the dubbed version. One of those not-so-great dubs.

You obviously don't understand my question. I want to know why they don't dub CardCaptor Sakura, the UNCUT stuff. I don't want an edited version we see on TV. Why can't they have an English track for the UNCUT version?

Pioneer has all the rights to the only dubbed version of Cardcaptor Sakura. Which is Cardcaptors. They already made one dubbed version, and I'm pretty sure they're not gonna get everyone (the voice actors) back around just to re-do the scenes that were cut. If they did bring back all the scenes that were cut, they would have to rewrite the whole script and redub everything again. I don't think any other companies would want to buy Cardcaptor Sakura from Pioneer just to do an uncut dub either. It doesn't look like it'd be worth the trouble, since the sub is already great. The current kids that dub Cardcaptors don't sound like their characters. How many subs with cute-little girls, stay as cute little girls in the dubs? I've never heard a good cute little girl dub. Even if they hire brand-new dubbers, that would be even more trouble. And the sub will still sound better anyways. Not just the voices either. The soundtrack has made a huge change from Cardcaptor Sakura to the current Cardcaptors. It doesn't keep the same feeling or emotions. The songs are Ok, but they change the mood way too much. Is Pioneer the worst at dubbing anime?

If there was going to be a good un-cut dub of Cardcaptor Sakura, it would have to be done from scratch. Brand-new. Not affiliated with the current Cardcaptors or even Pioneer in anyway. I think they should give Cardcaptor Sakura to ADV, cause they do great dubs most of the time. Or maybe Manga. Cause Carcaptor Sakura doesn't seem like an ADV anime. Manga did Ok with Magic Knight Rayearth, so I'm sure they could do great Cardcaptor Sakura. You could expect a great English remake of Catch You Catch Me too. :D

Pioneer is definately good at dubbing. They definately don't suck at it. Plus, I love my dubs, so that is why I would like a dubbed UNCUT version of CardCaptor Sakura.

I don't know.... Fushigi Yugi, Sailor Moon, Tenchi Muyo, Cardcaptors .... they didn't sound too good with the dubs Pioneer gave them.

I wouldn't mind seeing a dub of Cardcaptor Sakura. I just don't think Pioneer should make it.

Yeah, I know you like them. Well, maybe it's just me then. Cause I really like the dubs that ADV make. And Pioneer and ADV make entirely different dubs. So I guess me liking ADV's dubs so much would kinda make me look at Pioneer's dubs a little different. Or maybe they changed since the last time I saw them. It's been a few months, so I really don't know how they're dubbing now. But it must be better than I'm thinking.

Hey Spike Spiegel, how you think we make comparision of dub and sub we use DVD that's how we do it. (Sorry, I just couldn't help but notice your non-use of punctuation when you said "I have the solution buy a fricken DVD then you get both".) :?

But seriously though. The DVDs are where we get our comparisions from in the first place. We'll, most of them. Since you can switch languages on the fly. It's not impossible to compare with VHS too, of course. But yeah, getting the anime on DVD is the best idea and best thing to happen to anime since anime came to America. :D

Well, dumbass, some anime DVDs ARENT HYBIRD (Bilangual) DVDS YOU FRICKEN DUMBASS! Some anime DVDs, like the ones with the DBZ Ocean Dub eps, are dub-only cut versions. Oh yes, and if I could choose a dubbing company to dub CCS, I'd choose either *cringe* FUNimation, or Bandai.

Cut Dragonball Z DVDs are only in Dub because there are no cut Subs of Dragonball Z. (or any Dragonball series) If it's in Sub, it's uncut. So the sub won't be on a cut version DVD. Other than that, all other anime DVDs come in both languages. Unless there isn't a certain language version available. Like, if no dub was ever made, then there would only be sub on the DVD. (Cardcaptor Sakura) And even some fewer anime have only been made in Dub somehow. (I think Tekken is, but I'm not sure) The DVDs just contain what's available at the time. But if a DVD does come out in just one language, then it's probably not going to be made into the other language anytime soon. But even considering all this, you're better off buying DVDs than VHSs if you want both languages, right? :)
