no, I said dubs are USUALLY bad, but if they are done well enough I'll take the dub over the sub any time.
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

I love to watch the originals, no matter where they come from. So if I watch a Japanese show, I wanna watch in its original entirety. Even if that means watching it with Subtitles. So, of course, I would rather watch an English show with its original English language. But which one I enjoy more depends on which one sounds better, which is usually the original anyways!

"Dubbing" is the re-recording of the audio of a piece of media, mainly to change the language. So even if I ever said dubs are horrible, that wouldn't apply to anything that was originally was in English. Powerpuff Girls doesn't count as being dubbed. It's English Dialogue, but not English Dubbed. There's a difference there. But then agian, the PPGs might actually sound cute in Japanese. Who knows?

I don't mind English dubs if they're done well. I just like the Japanese voices better. No, I can't tell what they're really saying, but the English voices just sound so... harsh. Especially after hearing the same characters' Japanese voices.

I wonder do the Japanese folks feel like that after watching the Batman original compared to the dubbed version they released....

I myself dont have a problem with japanese voices.....I just hate the fact that most of the Females in anime have these super High Pitch voices.....I know thats a custom in japan but damn...

so this is more of a hatred of the english language than anything.

Hatred? No, I just prefer the Japanese. That doesn't mean I hate English...

the problem with subs is that I miss parts of the show reading the subs, if the dub is good enough then I can REALY begin to enjoy the show because I don't heve to be looking down at the bottom of the screen every 2 second to see what they are saying.

see now, i can understand that fine, thats your choice. as for me personally on the issue, i have no trouble whatsoever doing both at the same time, after watching countless hours subbed, it seemes to get easier and eaier
