Trigun or Bebop are tied.
I'd say no to Escaflowne unless you REALL REALLY like fantasy..
I can't stand fantasy anime(if there is a dragon or magical spirits or potions or ELVES! in it, most likely it's going to PISS ME OFF).
Trigun or Bebop.....sooo hard to choose.
I'd flip a coin on both of those...
okay well
If you don't like westerns, then get Bebop.
Though trigun is no where near a typical western....

Of those 3, I would have to say Cowboy Bebop hands down...
Though I have seen VERY little of Trigun, I just don't think it's going to have the power and impact that Cowboy Bebop had for me.
I certainly like all 3...
I do have some issues with Escaflowne... but only because I HATE VAN! I HATE HIM and never really find myself warming up to him as the series progresses... and it's tough when you hate the main character... and I never understood why Hitomi is in love with him... because there never seems to be any spark between them... and so the series leaves me cold because I feel the only reason Van and Hitomi are an item is because they're supposed to since they're the main characters and all.
However, I would have to go into a whole topic to continue this argument...
Bebop was emotional... it has subtle writing... (for instance, even though it feels episodic, you really do HAVE to see the episodes in order) and it is the only dub that I actually prefer the dub over the Japanese (and there is no other title in all of anime where I can say that... plus I am pleased that I'm in the last two episodes of the dub... not that my part has anything to do with the dub being good at all... but I got to meet the voice director and told her how amazing I thought the dub was.
I like what I've seen of Trigun, but I have seen too little to comment.

There are two kinds of people in this world:
Those who divide people into two kinds of groups
and those who don't.
