Trigun or Bebop are tied.

I'd say no to Escaflowne unless you REALL REALLY like fantasy..

I can't stand fantasy anime(if there is a dragon or magical spirits or potions or ELVES! in it, most likely it's going to PISS ME OFF).

Trigun or Bebop.....sooo hard to choose.

I'd flip a coin on both of those...

okay well

If you don't like westerns, then get Bebop.

Though trigun is no where near a typical western....

I like bebop eccept for the whole *spoiler* spike going off the get himslef killed and everyone else waving as he left on his own, even though the could have easily helped him.

And I like fantasy anime.

Of those 3, I would have to say Cowboy Bebop hands down...

Though I have seen VERY little of Trigun, I just don't think it's going to have the power and impact that Cowboy Bebop had for me.

I certainly like all 3...

I do have some issues with Escaflowne... but only because I HATE VAN! I HATE HIM and never really find myself warming up to him as the series progresses... and it's tough when you hate the main character... and I never understood why Hitomi is in love with him... because there never seems to be any spark between them... and so the series leaves me cold because I feel the only reason Van and Hitomi are an item is because they're supposed to since they're the main characters and all.

However, I would have to go into a whole topic to continue this argument...

Bebop was emotional... it has subtle writing... (for instance, even though it feels episodic, you really do HAVE to see the episodes in order) and it is the only dub that I actually prefer the dub over the Japanese (and there is no other title in all of anime where I can say that... plus I am pleased that I'm in the last two episodes of the dub... not that my part has anything to do with the dub being good at all... but I got to meet the voice director and told her how amazing I thought the dub was.

I like what I've seen of Trigun, but I have seen too little to comment.

Bebop, then Escaflowne, and finally Trigun if you're looking for a new coaster set.

well without spoilers I know that trigun has the best ending out of all of them, that counts for something.

Both Trigun and bebop are incredible series but I'd have to go with Bebop just because of it's style. However if you can't decide buy em both!

- I just finished the series fairly recently. Give it a shot.

How much have you seen, anyway? I'm just curious.

-I'm in the process of watching the Bebop sub for the first time, and although I have only seen two eps thus far, I am so far agreeing with you on that point.

As for the original question, well, I haven't seen Escaflowne, but I have seen Trigun and Bebop. I love both of them, and it's hard to choose between the two, but I think I would choose Bebop if I had to make a decision. Bebop's overall style is just so slick and the series as a whole is simply breathtaking.

But, Bebop is very hard to beat.

I myself have seen all three of thoes series ^^

This is the order that I would put them in.

Trigun. Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop

Trigun starts as a comedy anime....but it certainly doens't end up that is by far one of the BEST anime series out there...I'd recomend it to anyone....the first 4 eps or so are kinda slow but funny ^^ The series is really really good....

Escaflowne is well...umm...good and all but it's no where near my faves list.

Bebop, is good not really my thing, but it's kinda like Trigun. Funny/Serious. I actually found the first half of the series really boring. But thankfully it picked up. It got really good at the end and the movie kicked the series ass...

Well, I already own both the Bebop and Trigun boxed sets.
sooo....I guess I'd go with the Escaflowne boxed set.

While I love all three of these series to death, I'd have to say that Bebop is my favorite. It's story is complex but subtle enough for everyone to catch on to it. There's tons of little details within every episode that give lots of reason to rewatch them as well. The music is spectacular, the animation and art are gorgeous, and the characters are some of the best ever painted on celluloid.
And yes, the movie does indeed RULE!!
