The first season of that is pretty good, especially if you know something about mid-20th century military history (or, to put it another way, are in on the joke about the characters). It isn't filled to the brim with aerial battles but the ones in it are very intentive to detail. Also, the story more-so focuses on the pilots rather than the battles. Either way, it has good material.
