I would like to thank Dragonball for a standoff that lasted a whole season (i exaggerate...2 episodes), I would also like to thank Dragonball for throwing so many punches in a single episode and not landing a single one, and I would like to thank Goku for his never-ending supply of strength and energy trancending the very fabric of space and defying physics (and logic) themselves.

Because without Dragonball, we wouldn't have had Dragonball Z or GT, or the funny-as-hell abriged crap. |:>

Try...

Tetsuwan Atom/Astro Boy
Mach Go Go/Speed Racer
Ace wo Nerae
Rose of Versailles
Space Battleship Yamato/Starblazers
Gatchaman/Battle of the Planets
SDF Macross (the original, none of that plus, seven, zero, or frontier bullshit)
Megazone 23
Mospeada
Orgus
Southern Cross
Gundam (the original, accept no substitutions)
Touch
Miyuki
Maison Ikkoku
Kimagure Orange Road

Also Tokyo 2040 sucks. BGC original is where it's at.

This list. ^^
The highlighted ones especially for me, in addition to Galaxy Express 999.

Also, isn't it about time somebody did a North American release for Rose of Versailles? Srsly.

Funny thing about Captain Tyler is that I actually don't like silly comedies, but I sat through it and it ended up being quite awesome and brilliant

Corpsegoddess: your list brings back a lot of memories and some of those were my favorates

To Add to the List:

Dirty Pair

Back in the mid 90s, I got a copy of about 20 VHS tapes recorded with anime straight from TV in Japan complete with commercials (that were almost more entertaining then the shows!), there are still title on there I've not a clue what they are about.. :?

Sadly, most of the titles listed here I saw in their RAW anime Forms before Subtitling began to surface, I not sure how many can say that

That's one of the reasons Nadesico is probably my favorite show ever. It's silly and is full of good jokes and references, but then there are serious moments wherer it ends up being just brilliant. Same for Tylor. I'm rewatching Nadesico right now after not having seen it in forever, so freaking epic. If only they had finished the other two movies...Prince of Darkness has a few good parts for any Ruri fan, but other than that it was meh D:

Because calling bebop or lain "older" is debatable.
