Problems

Postby carlyxjack » Sun Apr 25, 2010 6:43 am

i have got some problems and i hope you guys can help me ^^
out.

Problem 1 When i import some anime episodes to sony vegas. The quality becomes really bad. It has nothing
to with the video itself, because when i watch these episodes with media player, the quality is good
Image

you can see the picture above for the bad quality

Problem 2 Sometimes when i try to mask, the picture from the preview isn't equal to the picture from the pan crop
so i can't mask well, because the part that i want to mask will appear later than i actually want

Problem 3 When i import mp4 files into sony vegas,it becomes really difficult to edit them, because the video responds slow
on my action. If i want for example want to go another time from the clip,it takes like 15 seconds, when i reached that time from the clip
and if i want to go to another time from the clip,it takes again like 15 seconds. I don't have any trouble with avi.
It's only mp4,but most of the raw clips are mp4,so i would like to know how to handle this problem.

I hope anyone can help me,

mp4 won't work, convert they to huffyuv or Lagarith lossless in Vdubmod and they should work. This'll actually solve all of your problems, I'm sure your .avis are divx/xvid so they need to be converted as well.

What NS Said, But when it comes to the masking its probably the fps(frames per second)of your project, Make sure its the same as your source or you can right click your clip>switches>disable resample :P

This, plus when masking use Best quality of preview, the lower ones are interpolated and can be less precise.

Correction: get VirtualDub (Google can help you) - VDMod is few years old without further progress.

You need to use AVSynth then make an .avs using AvsP then import your .avs script into VirtualDub and save with the Lagarith losless codec , It's smaller than Huffyuv but slower. If you encode every episode it should be around a few gb per episode, You can always make clips to save up space.

i downloaded the three files ,but i don't know what to continue.
somehow i don't understand what you meant with making an asv script?
Do i have to do that with avsynth or with avsp?

You make the .avs by importing your video file onto AvsP, Then saving it.After that you open the .avs file in virtual dub/mod.

You might wanna Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides sometime
