Was wondering whats the huge difference between Vegas 6 and Vegas 8?
Such as, are there any big differences that I'll definately want to use Vegas 8 when editing then vegas 6? Or should either be just good and dandy?

When it comes to Amvs not really. I used Vegas 5 for the majority of my editing time, only recently switced to 7 and there are really no big differences.

Yeah, I believe most of the Vegas Programs to be relatively similar. Only a few new options are added each time I think. I had 7.0 and switched to 9.0 and the only real difference, that I can tell, are some new transitions and some better 3D stuff.

Well the differences go beyond AMVs. More formats supported, better HD or blu-ray capabilities, stuff like that.

And much improved multicam, which sees a lot of use from me these days. (Nothing to do with AMVs, obviously.)
... yea ...

There really isn't a huge difference, same way Vegas Pro 9 isn't too different from 8. Like they said, most of the new features aren't too useful when it comes to amv's.
Still, Vegas pro has some special effects that 6 doesn't have, and the 3D features might come in handy. I say if you already have 8, you should stick to it. I don't see any reason to downgrade.
