Vegas and color levels

I've only recently started experimenting with the color-changing features of Vegas. I quite liked what "Brighten Brights" and "Boost Mids" did. Unfortunately, as soon as I get to the "color curves" screen, only half the video has it's colors changed. Moving the... curves... around doesn't seem to accomplish much. What in the world do I do to fix this?

are you trying to remove the effect from the event?

or is it the fact that the effect doesn't do much to your footage is the problem?

It was actually just a weird little glitch that fixed itself when I did something... pretty obvious. Thanks though.
